About Author and Illustrator Ashley Rice

Ashley’s first greeting card line, Backyard Poetry, was created in college and published by Blue Mountain Arts.
She is the author and illustrator of empowering books for tween girls: Girls Rule, You Are a Girl Who Can Do Anything, You Are a Girl Who Totally Rocks, and Use Your Girl Power.
Her books have been translated into Finnish, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, and Chinese.
Ashley’s Solo Para Chicas collection included purse-shaped notebooks, agendas, and calendars that came with stickers.
Girls Rule was adapted into an audiobook for English–Chinese language learning.
Ashley created the Use Your Girl Power interactive journal for Barnes & Noble.
At American Greetings / AG Interactive: Ashley drew original artwork, storyboarded characters, and wrote poems for animated e-cards.
She later transitioned from hand drawing to digital design.
